Skyway Mont Blanc cable car

For the complete renovation of the cableway linking Courmayeur to Punta Helbronner, several monitoring systems were installed on the arrival station.

The aim was to verify the stability of the structure under operating conditions. After 4 years of measurements, the system was implemented with additional monitoring devices to check the stability of the French structure and the interaction between excavation and earthworks. It should be recalled that the entire project was achieved at temperatures which, in the winter months, reach 25°C below zero.
